As Bangkok was a quick stop over for us, we didn’t visit any major tourist attractions apart from the Chatachuk Weekend Market. This is certainly a must visit if you are in Bangkok on a Saturday or Sunday. The market is free and has over 8000 stalls all selling various handcrafts, clothes, souvenirs, shoes, food, homewares… you name it, they’ve got it. By far the biggest market in Bangkok and worth a visit.

The market is opened from 9am to 6pm but in low season (when we visited) most stalls don’t open until about 10.30am
